Physical Therapist
Description

The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical impairments, injuries, or mobility limitations. The role focuses on helping elderly clients regain strength, improve mobility, reduce pain, prevent further injury, and enhance their overall quality of life through individualized rehabilitation programs. The Physical Therapist collaborates closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, caregivers, and family members to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans while ensuring safe and effective patient care.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy, depending on the country of practice.
  • Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license or registration in the country of practice.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience is preferred, particularly in geriatric, rehabilitation, or home healthcare settings.
  • Knowledge of musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation techniques.
  • Proficiency in patient assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and mobility training.
  • Strong understanding of patient safety, infection control, and healthcare documentation standards.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach with the ability to motivate and encourage patients throughout the rehabilitation process.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
